Yoga is my practice.
Yoga is my medicine, my outlet, my inlet. Yoga is my nemesis, my adversary, my ally, my confidant. Yoga is my illumination, my gateway. Practicing and studying this ancient tradition of yoga has enriched my life. Yoga is an expression in everything that we do. This practice has brought me closer to myself and aggrandizes every part of my life. Yoga has taught me to find equanimity in all things. Each breath is a new opportunity for me to observe my body and mind. I believe the practice and teachings of yoga allow us to contribute to the greater good by providing us with deeper resources of presence, compassion, and patience. My teaching style is fun and creative with great focus on the movement/breath connection. I found yoga to be the most beneficial complement, both mentally and physically to my previous career as a varsity athlete. My teachings from yoga have deepened throughout my practice, and that, in turn, has become the well in which I teach from. I currently teach yoga at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute for their High School Yoga Programs. I've been a certified 200hr yoga teacher since 2015 through the YAA (Yoga Association of Alberta) and since then have earned my E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) and YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) certification. I am currently completing an additional 300hr Yoga Teacher Training. |
